Delivery / Shipping: Consignments are generally sent by air, which is much speedier than sea freight for a marginal additional cost. Sea freight consignments can however be arranged, especially where there are sufficient trophies to fill a container.
Freight Agent: Our Freight agents who are experienced in the handling of game trophies, controls the movement of your consignment after dispatch. Should you wish to notify your own agent, please notify us.
Please note that if you nominate your own designated shipping agent and broker, Estelle Nel Taxidermy has no control over freight charges and clients might be open to unnecessary surcharges and handling fees. Additionally, you will be required to settle freight charges directly with the freight agent in either case.
Packaging: Your trophies will be expertly packed in a crate custom made for your consignment.
Insurance: Consignments are insured for the amount which we consider would be required to replace and mount the order with trophies as close to the original as possible. Should you prefer to specify the insurance value of your consignment yourself, please notify us.

Documentation: In South Africa, all foreign hunters must hunt with a registered professional hunter, who in turn must either be registered as, or be in the employ of, a hunting outfitter. On completion of the hunt, the professional hunter will complete the hunting register, detailing all species hunted. This is then signed by the professional hunter/hunter outfitter and you, the client.
A copy of the completed hunting register is then sent to the Department of Nature Conservation for the issuing of all the necessary conservation export permits.
If Cites animals are included in your hunt, with all documentation in place, the South African conservation authorities will issue the necessary Cites export permits. Certain Cites animals will require a Cites import permit. It is advisable that you obtain the correct information from you local fish and wildlife or conservation authority regarding the correct procedures on import Cites permits. This is to avoid any confusion and disappointments; Estelle Nell Taxidermy will however provide guidance on all these issues.
With conservation, health and veterinary export documentation in place, the crate gets handed over to the shipping agent. The shipping agent will arrange for customs declaration and clearance, for dispatch to your shipping destination.
You need to appoint a broker/clearing agent in your country to handle customs and clearance of your animal trophies and to generally guide you through import procedures. Either Estelle Nel Taxidermy or the shipping agent will advise you on a reputable broker/agent closest to your shipping port.
Payments to Estelle Nel taxidermy: A 50% deposit is required prior to commencement of production of your order. You will be invoiced for the balance due once your trophies are nearing completion.
Although we prefer to receive payment in US dollars, we will also accept the following currencies: Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, British pounds, German dem and Swiss francs.
