First day
We will pick you up from any hotel or guset house in Johannesburg or Pretoria. Keep in
mind that you will be charged for a full day on day one. Therefore we recommend that you overnight
at a hotel or guest house in Johannesburg or Pretoria, if you arrive after mid-day. However, we can
still drive through to the wildlife game ranch where you will be hunting, so that we can have an
early start on day two.
All the hunting consessions are within three hours drive from Johannesburg. You will
settle into your accommodation, after which we go to the shooting range to sight the rifles at 100
meters. We like to get out into the bush this afternoon, for an afternoon hunt, which will prepare
you for the next few days. It will give you an iadea of visibility, your tracker and professional
hunter. At night we relax around a busheveld camp fire, getting to know each other better and
telling stories.
Hunting days
We get up early mornings to enjoy a cup of coffee and rusks, which is a traditional
South African hard biscuit - very filling. We head out into the bush at first light. The majority
of the days will be spent walking in the bush, searching and tracking that very special animal
that would be the best trophy for your trophy room, wall at your home or office. Breaks will be
taken for brunch and when ever you feel you need a break. Remember - it is your hunt. We are happy
to fit in with you.
Last day
This day can be done in two ways.
We can have a relaxed wake up, breakfast and start driving back to Johannesburg
where we will drop you off.
We can wake up early to get a last hunting opportunity in, before enjoying a brunch
and heading back to Johannesburg.
Non hunters
We welcome non hunters (family and friends) to join you for your hunting experience.
We can take up to ten people in our transport vehicles, but only allow one spectator (non hunter)
per hunting trip.
When is the best time of the year to hunt
We generally hunt from March to September. The winter months (April to August) is the
best time of the year for hunting.
Accommodation
We offer standard accommodation, which is a very comfortable chalet with en-suite
bathroom. We also hunt on a 4 star game ranch, for those people interisted in luxury. See "Gallery"
in this website for photos of the accommodation and facilities.
Clothing
Early mornings are cooler and sometimes colder than what we are use to. The days are
warm to hot. Our hunting concessions are in the bushveld region of South Africa which are North
West province and Limpopo province. It very seldom rains during the winter nonths, as this is a
summer rainfall region. We will be walking in the bush where most trees has thorns which rips
clothing easily. Therefore we recommend rip stop clothing. We can provide you with rip stop
shirts, if required. Neutral coloured clothing or camouflage clothing is recommended. No bright
colours. A hat or cap is also recommended. Keep in mind that we will be doing plenty of walking.
remember to bring those comfortable boots.
Rifles
You are more than welcome to bring your own hunting rifles. However we noticed over
the past few years that very few hunters want to travel with rifles. You can hire a rifle (R150 per
hunting day) from your professional hunter. Yyou must let us know if you prefer to bring your
own rifle, when confirming your hunt, so that we can email you the restrictions and paper work
needed.
