What is an experience hunt? Livingstone Trails give foreign tourist and travelers the opportunity to hunt an African animal. The animals that you will hunt are adult males and females, but not trophy animals. You are welcome to have a trophy made and shipped home. Livingstone Trails will keep the meat.

Please note that the Gemsbok (Oryx) are hunted on another game farm one and half hours away. Therefore you should allow an additional day for the hunting of Gemsbok (Oryx).

General information Minimum days on hunts: Limpopo hunts: Two days one night per hunting farm / ranch. Freestate hunts: Three days two nights
Rifle hire: Rifle per day = R 280 Ammunition (per round fired) = R 20
Exchange rates: US Dollars = 7 Euro = 9 Pounds = 11
Check out time: Check out on the last day is at 10:00am. You are more than welcome to hunt until 16:00 on the last day, at an additional cost of R350 per person. Your luggage and personal belongings must be out of the rooms by 10:00am, if you choose the option to hunt further on the last day.
Transport: We will pick you up at 06:00am from any address in Johannesburg, Pretoria or Hartbeespoort on day one of your hunting safari. Please note that this day will be considered as day 1 of the hunting safari, and therefore you will be charged a full day rate. Therefore we recommend that you overnight at a guest house or hotel in Johannesburg or Pretoria, if you arrive after midday, and begin your hunting safari the next morning.
Non hunters (spectators): We welcome non hunters to join you for your hunting experience. Please note that we can only take 2 non hunters per hunting vehicle, but we can take up to 8 persons in our transport vehicles.
When do we hunt non trophy animals: Limpopo male animals: Throughout the year Limpopo female animals: 01 May to 31 August Freestate animals: 01 May to 31 August
Clothing: Keep in mind that we will be walking in the bush where most trees has long and sharp thorns, which will hook your clothing. We recommend neutral color clothing and comfortable walking shoes. Also remember that early mornings and late afternoons during the winter are very cold. Other items that are important: Sun block, hat or cap (neutral colors) and sun glasses. We can loan you camouflage shirts, if you do not have your own.
Tours and safaris: Livingstone Trails is a very well know tour operator in South Africa, with 24 tours departing every week to a variety of destinations, including: Kruger national park, Victoria Falls, Okavango Delta, Chobe national park and Pilanesberg national park.
